BKTP 25-2500/10(6)-0.4 UHL1 Transformer Substation
The complete transformer substation in a block-modular building (BKTP) is designed to receive three-phase 50 Hz power at 6 or 10 kV, convert it to 0.4 kV, and supply it to consumers. It is used to power industrial plants. BKTP units are built to UHL1 climate rating per GOST 15150-69.
A BKTP consists of one or more block-modules mounted on foundations, with electrical connections fully assembled within the block(s). The block-modular building acts as a protective enclosure for the equipment installed inside. The building is fitted with lighting, heating and forced ventilation, controlled from an auxiliary-needs cabinet.
The walls of the module are made of 75 mm three-layer sandwich panels with coated galvanized steel cladding and non-combustible mineral-wool insulation. The base is a welded frame of rolled steel sections with guide rails for rolling the transformer in; where oil transformers are used, oil-collection pans sized for 20% of the oil volume are built in.

BKTP must not be operated
- In explosive atmospheres or environments with caustic vapors/gases that degrade metal and insulation (unless forced supply ventilation is fitted)
- On mobile mine installations or other special-purpose equipment
