KTP 25-250/10(6) U1 Complete Transformer Substations
Complete transformer substations of the KTP 25-250 series, with power ratings from 25 to 250 kVA, are single-transformer, dead-end, outdoor substations for receiving three-phase 50 Hz current at 6 or 10 kV, converting it to 0.4 kV, and supplying it to consumers.
The KTP pole-mounted design consists of an HV input cabinet, an LV cabinet and a platform for the transformer. A TM (or TMG) transformer is mounted in the open and protected from precipitation by a canopy.
Connection is made through a factory-supplied disconnector. Stationary circuit breakers are fitted on the outgoing feeders. A street-lighting feeder switches automatically via a built-in photorelay. The number of outgoing lines and their current ratings can be customized.
The substation provides active-energy metering via a meter and current transformers, has electrical and mechanical interlocks for personnel safety, and heating for the electrical equipment. Per electrical-safety rules, the KTP is mounted on a pedestal with the HV entry point at 4.5 m above ground level.
